Repair procedures
Replacement
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Remove the roof trim assembly.
(Refer to Body - "Roof Trim")
3.
Remove the panorama sunroof motor (A) after loosening the screws and disconnecting the connector.

4.
Remove the roller blind motor (A) after loosening the screws and disconnecting the connector.

Resetting the Panorama Sunroof
During open/close the sunroof, battery power is not provided or discharged, or relavant fuse is replaced, or sunroof is activated using emergency handle, sunroof should be initialized as follows.
  
During open/close the sunroof, in case of not providing battery power connected sunroof motor due to the battery replacement, battery discharge and fuse replacement.
The automatic opening or closing of the sunroof, a one-touch feature, does not function properly.
The sunroof reopens during automatic closing even if there is no object caught in the sunroof (safety feature)
1.
After IG ON, use CLOSE Switch to fully close the sunroof glass and roller blind.
2.
When the glass and the roller blind is fully closed, release the CLOSE Switch and then press and hold down the switch (about 10 sec.) until the glass and the blind moves slightly one time.
3.
Release the CLOSE Switch and then press and hold down the switch again, and the glass and the blind opens and closes in below order and completes Sunroof Reset process.
Blind slides open → Sunroof glass tilts, slides open, and then closes → Blind slides and closes.
※ If the CLOSE Switch is released while above operation is in progress, the reset process is cancelled and you must go back and repeat the process from step 1.
Motor overheating prevention
To protect the panorama sunroof motor from overheating caused by continuous operation, the panorama sunroof control unit controls the Run-Time and Cool-Time.
1.
The panoramaroof SCU (Sunroof Control Unit)detects the Run- time of motor.
2.
Motor can be operated continuously for the T1 Run Time (120 ± 10sec.).
3.
The motor which operates continuously during T1 stops operating in T2 Cool Time (18 ± 2sec.).
4.
And then motor is not operated for T2 cool-time (18 ± 2sec.).
5.
After expiration of T2, the motor continues to operate for the duration set in T3.
6.
Motor which is operated continuously stops operating after T3 Run-time (10 ± 2sec.)
7.
Motor is not operated for T4 cool-time (18 ±2sec.).
8.
The motor repeats T3 and T4 when it continuously is operated.
In case that motor is not operated continuously, Run Time which is limited to prevent overheating increases.

Inspection
[Glass motor / Blind motor Inspection]
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Disconnect the sunroof wiring connector .

3.
Ground the terminals as below table, and check that the panorama sunroof unit operates.

    The ignition switch must be in the ON position before you can open or close the sunroof.

    The sunroof can be operated for approximately 30 seconds after the ignition key is removed or turned to the ACC or LOCK(or OFF) position. However, if the front door is opened, the sunroof cannot be operated even within 30 seconds.
