Removal and Installation
Integrated thermal management module (ITM)
  
Make sure that static electricy and other voltages do not act on the integrated thermal management module (ITM).
Keep objects with magnetic properties , including magnets , away from the integrated thermal management module (ITM).
Make sure that the engine is turned off and power is shut down when disconnecting the integrated thermal management module (ITM) connector.
When connecting the integrated thermal management module (ITM) connector, remove oil and water from the connector completely and prevent foreign substance from entering the connector.
If replacement of the integrated thermal management module (ITM) is necessary, be sure to replace with a connector that conforms to the specifications.
1.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
2.
Remove the engine cover.
(Refer to Engine and Transmission Assembly - "Engine Cover")
3.
Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner")
4.
Drain the engine coolant.
(Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")
5.
Remove the battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
6.
Disconnect the integrated thermal management module (ITM) connector (A).

7.
Disconnect the radiator upper hose (A).

8.
Disconnect the heater pipe hose (A), heater hose (B).

9.
Remove the integrated thermal management module (ITM) (A).

10.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
  
Always use a new integrated thermal management module (ITM) O-ring.
11.
Fill with engine coolant.
(Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")
  
The coolant must be injected according to the integrated thermal management module (ITM) coolant filling method.
12.
Start engine and check for leaks.
Heater pipe
1.
Remove the intake manifold.
(Refer to Intake And Exhaust System - "Intake Manifold")
2.
Remove the Integrated Thermal Management Module (ITM).
3.
Disconnect the heater hose (B).

4.
Disconnect the heater pipe hose (A) and then remove the heater pipe (B).
Tightening torque :
18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft

5.
all in the reverse order of removal.
  
Always use a new integrated thermal management module (ITM) O-ring.
6.
Fill with engine coolant.
(Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")
  
The coolant must be injected according to the integrated thermal management module (ITM) coolant filling method.
7.
Start engine and check for leaks.
